VIKING & SAXON

A visit to your school from a Saxon or Viking. We will visit your class to run a workshop to teach your children and help them learn about life in the ‘Dark Ages’ of the Viking and Saxon invasions. We will use artefacts, drama, roleplay, dressing up and storytelling to bring history to life!

Topics include:

• Why were the British Isles invaded?

• What were conditions like at the time?

• What did it take to be a ruler in those troubled times?

• What is the legacy of these invaders?

• What was society like?

• What games did they play?

• What did they use in their homes?

• How did they fight? (Weapons drill for all!)
