Join the Roman army!
A visit to your school from a Roman soldier. We will visit your class to run a workshop to teach your children and help them learn about life in the Roman Empire. We will use artefacts, drama, roleplay, dressing up and storytelling to bring history to life!
Topics include:
Learn what the Roman invasion was like.
Toughen up to withstand Roman discipline.
The arms and armour of the Romans and Celts.
Learn to drill with sword and shield following instructions in Latin.
Try to stomach Roman entertainment! Chariots and Gladiators.
Fight in a dramatic retelling of the story of Boudica’s Revolt.
Over half the words in the English language have Latin roots!
Almost half the population of ancient Rome were slaves!
