A visit to you classroom from a Roman Legionary! A soldier from Ancient Rome will visit your school to help you teach your children about life in the Roman Empire in the first century A.D. through the use of artefacts and storytelling.

Topics include: life in the legions, gladiators, the emperors, the Boudican Revolt, life in Rome, the last days of Pompeii. Children can dress in armour, drill to commands in Latin and learn first hand about the Roman invasion of Britain.

Over half the words that we speak in English today are based on Latin!

Almost half the population of ancient Rome were slaves!
